2007 ACM Multimedia and Security Workshop Dallas, Texas, September 20-21, 2007

Dallas, Texas. Although more famous for Kennedy's assasination (6th floor museum) in terms of tourist attraction, Dallas has unique attractions of its own owing, in part, to the integration of South-Western American & Mexican culture prevalent in the area. Dallas is also houses the Telecom Corridor (as a result of the presence of a preponderence of Telecom companies), defense companies (such as Raytheon and Lockheed-Martin), gaming companies, and IC and potato chip manufactors (such as Texas Instruments and Frito Lay! ;))

Venue and Accommodations

The venue for ACM MM&Sec'07 is the beautiful Radisson Hotel Dallas North - Richardson.

The Radisson Dallas North Hotel, located in the midst of the high-tech corridor, is conveniently located to downtown Dallas, and all of its many attractions such as fantastic shopping, cultural offerings and sporting events. Both Love Field Airport and DFW International are also easily accessible from the Dallas Hotel.

Attractions to Consider

The city of Plano, Texas, not far from the workshop location, has its famous Annual (hot air) Balloon festival on September 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
